Photowalk is a hands-on photography and storytelling program where students explore their surroundings, learn camera techniques, and develop creative narratives. Over the course of the program, they capture images, design a collaborative zine, and present their work in a final showcase.

Learn photography skills
Camera operation, framing, composition, exposure, and creative techniques
Explore the neighborhood
Field trips to destinations such as the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx Zoo, and other local cultural sites
Create & publish
Curate, design, and produce a high-quality printed zine featuring student photographs and written reflections
Present & share
Host a showcase event where students present their zine and creative process to peers, staff, and families

Length: 4 weeks - a focused, month-long program.
Sessions: 1 per week (full day experience)
Class size: up to 20 students
Final product: professionally printed 20-page zine for each student to keep and share
